From 2013-2015, I served as the producer for Eastern Mennonite High School Theater. A private Christian high school, EMHS has a fantastic and well-developed music department. Their best theater work is in partnership with their well-trained musicians. In my role as producer, I selected the season, arranged rights and royalties, hired directors and designers (including writing their contracts, facilitating their background checks, and providing feedback and guidance on their work), trained student stage managers, and coordinated set, costume, and prop construction. I enjoyed working with the students and watching them grow through their time at EMHS. In addition to acting, students received instruction and opportunities in set, lighting, sound, and costume design and construction, stage management, and directing.

While at EMHS, I directed All in the Timing, Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Benjamin Britten’s Noye’s Fludde (2014), and Harvey (2015).
